Unai Emery makes cryptic statement on Mesut Ozil playing against Manchester United

Arsenal was without Mesut Ozil on Sunday when they welcomed Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium and even though they did win the game 4-2, some gooners still believe that he would have also impressed against their noisy neighbours. The club released a statement before the Spurs game which claimed that the German international missed the game because he had back spasms.
There are many rumours on why Mesut Ozil missed the North London Derby and one theory says that the midfielder missed the game because he is a committed Muslim who intentionally missed the game because Premier League clubs were showing support for the LGBT community, so him wearing the captain’s arm band with rainbow colours would seem bad for his faith.
Arsenal fans want Mesut Ozil to play against Manchester United and Unai Emery was today asked in his press conference on if the German international will be in the starting eleven of the gunners that takes on the Red Devils at the Old Trafford.
“I said on Sunday that he’s had backache since last Tuesday,” said Unai Emery. He couldn’t play in Kiev or on Sunday.” Unai Emery told Arsenal’s official website.
“At the moment, I don’t know if he can play in Manchester. Today he was working alone, I don’t know if he’s OK for Wednesday.”
So it seems Unai Emery doesn’t actually know whether Mesut Ozil will be in the squad that makes the trip to Old Trafford this Wednesday, the Arsenal fans will be hoping that it doesn’t turn out to be a big issue between the player and the boss.
