Arsenal signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the January transfer window and the Gabon international has become their record signing because the gunners paid Borussia Dortmund £56million to get him. Aubameyang is an outstanding striker and he has become a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium because he has scored 22 goals so far.
The January transfer window will soon open and clubs will be looking to make some changes so that they can improve their squad, Spanish outlet Don Balon has claimed that Arsenal’s boss Unai Emery is ready to let go of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in this upcoming transfer window because he wants to sign Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi who has so far scored 8 domestic goals.
This is a surprising report because Aubameyang is a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium and he is currently their top scorer in all competitions and there isn’t really much to complain about the Gabon international apart from him missing great chances in some matches. It is said that Real Madrid are interested in Aubameyang and will be alerted if Unai Emery wants to let go of the former Borussia Dortmund star because they also wanted sign him in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Mauro Icardi has a release clause of €105million and the gunners might be able to sell Aubameyang for about £70million because he is a world-class striker. The gunners would however need to top up on the money got from Aubameyang to fund the signing of Mauro Icardi.
