Unai Emery’s side was out classed on the pitch as Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez helped destroyed the shady Arsenal side who did little to deserve a win at home.

United kept their cool doing the needful as they prevailed on the night against the second best team of the (Arsenal) night.

With the score already known to all, we evaluate the reasons why Arsenal lost the fixture to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United.

Arsenal Attacking Prolificacy

Arsenal attacking ability were second best as they lost 1-3 at home. This is evident as United scored three times to their lone goal in the match. They created series of chances but their finishing let them down.

This was evident as want away midfielder Aaron Ramsey shot wide off the goal after good works by Arsenal star performer Pierre -Emerick Aubameyang from the left wings.

This was seen yet again as Granit Xhaka could not hit the target outside the area like he has done all season. Unai Emery’s side looked a kind of disillusioned as their poor showing at home has cost them a place in the next round of the FA Cup.

United Predatory Instinct

Manchester United showed the renaissance of Sir Alex Ferguson regime as they scored three goals plunging the hole in Arsenal’s defence with quick transition move of the ball.

The speed at which they got to the Arsenal defence was terrific as Unai Emery’s side became a victim of United counter attacking move. This looks more of like a cat and rat dilemma as the Red Devils made Arsenal pay for defensive inconsistency along in the season.

This proved decisive as (Paul) Pogba led United’s attacking troops in transition before Martial finished from the rebound to compound Arsenal’s woes in the season.

United Tactical Swift

With the game 1-2 as at 72nd minutes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer read his tactical script well and introduced two danger men upfront. This was tactically symbolic as Solskjaer’s tactical awareness was evident here thus out smarting his opponent Unai Emery.

While Emery made no changes, Martial and sensational talent Marcus Rashford was brought on to trouble the Arsenal’s defence which was getting tired at the moment.

This paid off as the French star Martial scored to nail Arsenal’s tactical insufficiency on the night as United progresses with a 1-3 away win at the Emirates.
