The gunners have today received some good news as reports from Italy say that Belgian international Yannick Carrasco wants to return to Europe and has chosen Arsenal as his best destination. This comes after Arsenal boss Unai Emery said that he does want a winger in his squad if they get an opportunity.

Yannick Carrasco left Atletico Madrid for Chinese side Dalian Yifang in February last year but Sky Sport Italia claims that the Belgian international has rejected the chance to join AC Milan because he wants to come to the Premier League this January, he also reportedly regrets joining an Asian club after being there for just one year.

Yannick Carrasco had an impressive spell at Monaco and even scored the winning goal that knocked Arsenal out of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 a few years ago. He later moved to Atletico Madrid and he was also been impressive in the Spanish Laliga before he moved to Dalian Yifang.

The gunners have this season lacked a natural winger because they only have Alex Iwobi who is not consistent so Yannick Carrasco is the best option for the North Londoners because he’s got the pace and strength which are usually important in the Premier League. Arsenal head coach Unai Emery hasn’t been talking much about transfers in his interviews but he recently did hint at signing a winger in his post-match press conference of their game against Blackpool.

“If we have the possibility to sign some important players, we can do it. At left or right wing, perhaps one player can help us in this position. We will only sign players who give us quality” said Unai Emery.

I am a very stubborn person who is always very argumentative in football discussions but I always win. I like writing about transfer news most.
