Arsenal star speaks out on Lacazette’s importance to the team
Arsenal’s midfielder Lucas Torreira has heaped praise on Alexandre Lacazette after the striker went on the score sheet as the gunners defeated Southampton.

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has been impressive this season because he has scored eleven Premier League goals and made five assists. The Frenchman has been very influential in Arsenal’s push for a top four finish because he has scored more than five winning goals for the gunners in this 2018/19 campaign.
Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette went on the score sheet on Sunday when the gunners welcomed Southampton at the Emirates Stadium and his teammate Lucas Torreira has revealed how the French striker is very influential to their game plan this season. Arsenal’s new boss Unai Emery has this season spoke of how all the players can help in the defending and attacking moments because they all need to get involved in order for the club to win matches.
Lucas Torreira has said that Alexandre Lacazette is an important player because he helps in defence as well as doing his job of leading the attack line.
“I think it was a very important win today. We obviously knew that Southampton were the team that put an end to our unbeaten run earlier in the season. I think we played very well.” Lucas Torreira told Arsenal.com.
“In terms of Laca, personally I think we all know how important he is for the team. He does a lot of work for us both in attack and defence. I think we saw today and in previous games the importance that he has for the team.”
The gunners will be hoping that Alexandre Lacazette becomes consistent because they will need to keep winning their next matches if they want to end the season in the Premier League top four.
