Denis Suarez speaks out on his debut at the Etihad Stadium
Denis Suarez was introduced into the Premier League in Arsenal colours on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium but the gunners however lost the game 3-1.
The gunners faced Manchester City on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium and Arsenal’s boss Unai Emery decided to travel with Denis Suarez who is a new acquisition that arrived on the deadline day of the January transfer window. Most of the Arsenal fans were hoping that Denis Suarez could start but he however wasn’t selected in the starting eleven.
Arsenal was trailing by one goal in the first 45 seconds of the game as Aguero put the home side in front but the gunners recovered from that, and equalised through their captain Laurent Koscielny who headed the ball into the back of the net after the gunners put the ball into the penalty box via a corner kick.
Manchester City later went in front before halftime and the Arsenal fans were hoping that Denis Suarez could be introduced at the start of the second half but he was rather given his debut after the home side scored their third goal of the day. Denis Suarez barely had touches on the ball in the few minutes he got because Manchester City was controlling the game and it must have been awful for the new Arsenal star.
Denis Suarez has however sent a message to the Arsenal fans after making his debut against his former team Manchester City.
Today I returned to Manchester to make my debut in the @premierleague and I was eager and happy to start this great challenge.. The score wasn't good but this has just started. Let's go for it, C'mon Gunners! #ArsenalFC pic.twitter.com/B5OF0i20JK
