Iwobi & Guendouzi to be benched: Predicted Arsenal lineup to face BATE Borisov
Here’s the expected Arsenal lineup to face BATE Borisov tonight. We believe the boss might bench Matteo Guendouzi and Alex Iwobi.
The gunners will today face BATE Borisov away from home and the Arsenal fans will be hoping to see their team get this win so that they can go into the second leg of this UEFA Europa League encounter with immerse confidence. Arsenal boss Unai Emery left only Ozil, Ramsey and Sokratis in London so let’s take a look at the expected Arsenal lineup to face BATE Borisov.
PREDICTED ARSENAL LINEUP TO FACE BATE BORISOV
Cech, Koscielny, Mustafi, Monreal, Maitland-Niles, Torreira, Xhaka, Kolasinac, Lacazette, Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan
FORMATION: 3-4-3
Goalkeeping:
Bernd Leno has become the first choice goalkeeper of Arsenal and Unai Emery let’s his second choice goalkeeper to play in the rest of the competitions so Petr Cech will probably be in between the goal posts tonight.
3-man defence:
Mavropanos was not included in the updated Arsenal Europa League squad so he will miss today’s game, Sokratis also didn’t travel to Belarus because he just returned from a big injury. So Arsenal’s 3-man defence will consist of Koscielny, Mustafi and Monreal.
Wingbacks:
Sead Kolasinac has proved to be more effective when the gunners play in a formation which let him be a wingback so he will surely start today. Stephan Lichtsteiner hasn’t been impressive in the matches he has played in so Maitland-Niles will also probably start.
Central Midfield:
Matteo Guendouzi has been impressive in the last three Arsenal matches but he also needs a rest so he could get tested today since Granit Xhaka has returned to full training. Xhaka will then of course be paired with Lucas Torreira.
Front three:
Aubameyang missed Arsenal’s match against Huddersfield Town because of an illness but he has returned and Mkhitaryan was also impressive on Saturday so these two will both start. So Arsenal’s front three will consist of Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang.
