Mesut Ozil speaks out on Wednesday’s training sessions
Arsenal will today face BATE Borisov without Mesut Ozil because Unai Emery left him in London.
Mesut Ozil returned to full training on Wednesday but he was however not in the squad that traveled to Belarus for the UEFA Europa League match vs Bate Borisov. The decision by the coach has angered most Arsenal fans because they believe that Unai Emery hates Mesut Ozil hence always omitting him from the squad.
Mesut Ozil trained with the rest of his teammates on Wednesday before they flew to Belarus but he has however sent a cheerful message via his Twitter account. He wrote; “Today’s winning team, Training fun.”

So as you can see in the picture attached on the tweet, Mesut Ozil did indeed enjoy their training session so maybe this could at least clear the negative stories about Unai Emery falling out with the German international. Arsenal’s head coach Unai Emery who is now in Belarus was also asked why Mesut Ozil didn’t travel with them, he said that the German trained only on Wednesday while the others started training on Monday, so in simple terms, he isn’t fit enough for the match against BATE Borisov.
Mesut Ozil has this season got limited chances under Unai Emery but it seems he will have to work hard in the remaining matches of the season so that the club does not sell him in the Summer transfer window. He has failed to fit into Unai Emery’s game plan because he only flourishes in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Mesut Ozil could feature in the second leg of their encounter vs BATE Borisov at the Emirates Stadium next week.
