Unai Emery receives double injury boost ahead of Europa League matches
The UEFA Europa League returns next week and Arsenal’s boss Unai Emery will need his full squad to be available for this game.
Arsenal will next week face Bate Borisov in the UEFA Europa League round of 32 and Unai Emery will be hoping to have a fully fit squad ahead of this game since this competition could be their ticket to next season’s UEFA Champions League.
The gunners have this season struggled because of its defence but you also can’t ignore the fact that injuries have also played a huge part in Unai Emery’s downfall in the last few months. The next few Arsenal games will be crucial and the players were today called upon for training ahead of Saturday’s match against Huddersfield Town and Thursday’s Europa League game.
Arsenal fans will be excited to know that Sokratis Papastathopoulos was also pictured alongside Granit Xhaka doing some simple training drills on the pitch as they get closer to making a return. Even though Granit Xhaka makes mistakes but he was missed in midfield on Sunday as the gunners lost to Manchester City.
Sokratis Papastathopoulos has been Arsenal’s best defender this season because he has that fearful personality on the pitch, so the fans will be hoping that he makes a return as soon as possible since all their upcoming matches are a must win in order to get into the Premier League top four and win the UEFA Europa League.
Unai Emery will be hoping that these two come back with sharpness because most footballers are usually rusty when returning from injuries but the coach will be hopeful that it won’t be the same for Granit Xhaka and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
