Unai Emery speaks out on Koscielny, Xhaka and Kolasinac
Arsenal’s boss Unai Emery has spoken out on Xhaka, Koscielny and Kolasinac after his side beat Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal was without Granit Xhaka last night but they were able to get a 5-1 win over Bournemouth but the Swiss international will be needed in the upcoming North London Derby because he has more experience than the likes of Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira. Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has confirmed that Granit Xhaka is fine and that he was rested because they will need him in their match against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
It is a huge relief for the Arsenal fans that Granit Xhaka was just rested because he was very impressive in their 2-0 win over Southampton last weekend and it would be disappointing if they lost another important player because of injuries.
Sead Kolasinac is one of the few Arsenal players that have played many games under Unai Emery and the left back was however substituted in the second half of last night’s game. Unai Emery has confirmed that the Bosnian international was withdrawn from the game because he told him in the dressing room that he was feeling pain.
Laurent Koscielny received a dangerous tackle in the last minutes of the game and even though he got back to his feet, he still felt pain because his facial expressions showed that he was in pain. In Unai Emery’s post-match press conference, here’s what he said about the Arsenal captain.
“I hope all it is, is one kick. We have three days between today and Saturday and I hope he can be okay.” Unai Emery told Arsenal’s official website.
