Unai Emery speaks out on Ozil & Mkhitaryan starting in the Spurs game
Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were involved in four of Arsenal’s goals last night and Unai Emery has spoken about their chances of being in the starting eleven that faces Tottenham Hotspur.
Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were in the Arsenal squad that defeated Bournemouth 5-1 last night and the Arsenal fans have already begun urging Unai Emery to play these two in the upcoming North London Derby because they had an incredible performance.
Mesut Ozil scored Arsenal’s first goal using his signature kick that the fans love and he later set up Henrikh Mkhitaryan who scored the second goal to give the gunners a 2-0 lead. These two linked up well with each other and Unai Emery was seen applauding them on thr touch-line in the attacking moves that they made.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan assisted Koscielny and Aubameyang’s goals in the second half and Mesut Ozil came close to getting a second goal but his shot hit the post. Everyone believes that the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Alex Iwobi were benched because Unai Emery wanted to rest them ahead of the match against Tottenham Hotspur but the performances of Ozil and Mkhitaryan will put the boss in a difficult position because they will all be hoping to play.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery faced the media after the match and he was asked if the performances of these two against Bournemouth would earn them a spot in the starting eleven, he said that he will have to make some analysis.
“Now, I am going to watch this match for the analysis and I am going to watch Tottenham and after decide our gameplan against them with every player.” Unai Emery told Arsenal.com.
“We need the players in the first 11 and on the bench, and we need a big commitment from every player to help us. The next match is Saturday. If we can play with big performance I want every player to help us with this decision.”
