Ozil & Aubameyang start: Arsenal XI to face Rennes released
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil have returned to the starting eleven and it seems Unai Emery has selected a full strength squad.
Arsenal’s match against Rennes will start in the next couple of minutes but we have received the team news ahead of this epic encounter. Arsenal’s boss Unai Emery has included Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the starting eleven as expected.
ARSENAL LINEUP TO FACE RENNES
Cech, Mustafi, Sokratis, Koscielny, Monreal, Xhaka, Torreira, Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Aubameyang
SUBSTITUTES:
Leno, Suarez, Nketiah, Guendouzi, Ramsey, Maitland-Niles, Kolasinac
Mesut Ozil has not started in many away matches this season because the boss doesn’t believe in him when they are not at the Emirates Stadium but this will be a perfect opportunity for him to prove everyone wrong. The German international usually flops in matches where Arsenal doesn’t see much of the ball but they will definitely be the dominant team because they are far more superior to Rennes.
This is a perfect opportunity for Aubameyang to redeem himself for missing the penalty in the North London Derby last weekend, they will be hoping that he bangs in goals tonight because winning the UEFA Europa League would earn them automatic qualification to next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Arsenal head coach Unai Emery said that they respect Rennes and applauded them for having a very good organisation in his pre-match press conference.
“For us, first it’s respect to them. They played very well again Real Betis in the two games, and they deserve to be here.” said Unai Emery in his pre-match press conference.
“They have very good organisation defensively and offensively. They have very good players and we know for them it’s an important moment, and for us it’s the same.”
