The FA replies Arsenal’s appeal to cancel Lucas Torreira’s red card
Lucas Torreira was sent off in the remaining minutes of the North London Derby on Saturday and Arsenal appealed the decision.

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira received a red card on Saturday in the North London Derby and most of the gooners have been protesting this decision ever since it was made. Arsenal Football Club appealed the decision but The FA has replied saying that the Uruguayan international will still serve his sentence of missing three matches.
Lucas Torreira will miss Arsenal’s Premier League matches vs Manchester United, Newcastle United and Everton. The Arsenal fans will surely miss him more in their upcoming match vs Manchester United because it would have been great to see him try to stop Paul Pogba who is very dangerous.
Lucas Torreira has been among Arsenal’s top performing players this season but it now seems like the next time they will see him play in the Premier League will be in April because we will soon go into the international break. Lucas Torreira’s absence will be a perfect time for Matteo Guendouzi to prove that he deserves to get the chances which Unai Emery has given him in this 2018/19 campaign.
Lucas Torreira is however eligible to play in the UEFA Europa League so he will definitely be in the starting eleven that faces Rennes in France tomorrow. Arsenal fans will be disappointed that the FA has rejected the appeal from their club because there has been clear evidence of a Tottenham Hotspur player stamping his boot on Koscielny’s legs but nothing has been done.
