Arsene Wenger reveals the former player that could coach Arsenal in the future
It’s been a year since Arsene Wenger decided to end ties with Arsenal after having been in North London for two decades. The Frenchman has said that he believes an Arsenal legend could coach the gunners in the future.
Arsene Wenger resigned from his position as the manager of Arsenal in April last year and he said that he wouldn’t take part in the selection of the next boss of the gunners. He indeed did not take part in the process that appointed Unai Emery as Arsenal’s new head coach.
The Frenchman has enjoyed himself in the last few months because it seems like he won’t be managing a football club again and he has spoken of how he believes that Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira would one day manage the gunners since his managerial career is going great so far.
Patrick Vieira is the current head coach of Nice and they are currently eight in the French Ligue one at the moment and Arsene Wenger has revealed some of the reasons as to why he believes that the former Arsenal star would one day come out of the Emirates tunnel as a coach of the North Londoners.
“I see him as the Arsenal coach one day because I think he is too young to go directly into international football.” Arsene Wenger told Canal Football Club.
“I think his life will go through club football. He has constructed his career intelligently and patiently.”
“He left when he was young, he went to New York, he is now in Nice and he has taken time to mature and learn his profession.”
Arsenal’s future is unknown but the truth is that the gunners might never have a manager that would stay at the Emirates Stadium for more than two decades as Arsene Wenger did. Maybe Unai Emery can do it? He most likely can’t so there’s a possibility that we will see Patrick Vieira as Arsenal’s boss in the future.
