Unai Emery was officially announced as Arsenal’s new manager in May, 2018 after Arsene Wenger had called it quits to his 22 year reign at the North London club. The Spanish coach did show signs of taking them forward but ever since their unbeaten run ended, they have been a hit and miss club that is unpredictable.

Arsenal’s head coach Unai Emery has come with a new approach that he wants the squad of the gunners to master and his tactics include, playing from the back with the help of the goalkeeper and Bernd Leno has shown to be good at this, pressing the opponents is one of  things that he requests and it’s not yet perfect but the players are still adapting to it because you can now see players like Mesut Ozil also trying to win back the ball.

Arsenal is out of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup but are still in contention to win the UEFA Europa League and to get a top four finish. Unai Emery has revealed that the players are slowly getting used to his philosophy in his pre-match press conference ahead of their game vs Newcastle United.

“We are in our process but our process is giving us, all the time, better combinations with the players and better combinations tactically.” Unai Emery told Arsenal Media.

“We are playing different systems with different players and we are taking a big performance with them. I have a lot of confidence in us and our players, but I know Monday’s game is giving us a big challenge against them.”

The gooners will be hoping that the players will have finally get used to all the tactics of Unai Emery at the start of next season so that they can finally put on a memorable title challenge.
