Unai Emery speaks out on Mesut Ozil’s performances and behaviour
Mesut Ozil has sometimes been excluded from the 18 man squad by Unai Emery this season. The Arsenal coach has today spoken out about the current performances of the German international.

Mesut Ozil has been in the Arsenal starting eleven in their last three matches and this does come as a surprise this season because the German international failed to win over the favour of gunners new boss Unai Emery in the first months of the season.
There has been times when Arsenal’s boss Unai Emery has had to exclude Mesut Ozil from the 18 man squad that faces the gunners because the German international had earlier reportedly refused to adapt to the demands of the Spanish coach.
Unai Emery has many times said that he wants all players to work hard for the team and he wants them to be pressing opponents regardless of the position which you play but this has however been tough for Mesut Ozil who many believe that always plays a care free game. There were many reports of a bust up between Unai Emery and Mesut Ozil in training and the away losses to West Ham United and BATE Borisov saw the Arsenal fans criticize the boss for dropping the former Real Madrid star.
Mesut Ozil has however currently been in the starting of Arsenal in their last three matches and this shows that he is now in the good books of Unai Emery. Unai Emery says that he is happy with Mesut Ozil because working well with good behaviour.
“He’s working very well, playing very well, he’s helping us. I’m very happy with him.” Unai Emery told Arsenal’s official website.
“I think the team has a good atmosphere, good spirit with each player helping us with their qualities and good behaviour.”
“That’s the spirit I want, they are doing that, and Mesut is like the others [in that regard].”
