Arsenal will this week face Unai Emery’s former club Valencia in the UEFA Europa League semi finals and the gunners will be hoping to get past it since its their only obstacle in their dreams of making it to the final in Baku.

Unai Emery and his men have been lucky in their UEFA Europa League run this season because they have at two times come from defeats in the first leg of the knock out stages to advance to the next stage. Their two wins over Napoli were simpler and less frustrating than the round of 32 and 16 against BATE Borisov and Rennes.

Arsenal’s head coach Unai Emery doesn’t want to lose in the first leg again this time since it will be played at their home stadium on Thursday and so he has said that he is hoping that they beat Valencia and also get a clean sheet. It’s no surprise that he would say that because Arsenal lost 3-1 to Rennes in the round of 16 in France but they were confident in the second leg since they had an away goal.

The Arsenal boss faced the media on Wednesday and believes that a win and a clean sheet would be satisfying for him like their 2-0 win over Napoli at the Emirates in the quarter finals.

“You need to play 90 minutes thinking we are going to play another 90 minutes. It is not all finished tomorrow.” Unai Emery told Arsenal’s official website.

“If you can win, it’s good, if you can win without conceding a goal, it’s perfect. We need to manage 90 minutes and be solid, be strong and be clear in our minds with the possibilities with the result. Our idea tomorrow is to win.”
