Unai Emery speaks out on Arsenal’s second leg game against Valencia
The gunners will next week face Valencia in Spain and Unai Emery will be hoping that they get a win there to progress to the UEFA Europa League final.
Arsenal will go into second leg of their UEFA Europa League semi final tie against Valencia with a two goal advantage after beating the Spanish side 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium thanks to an incredible performance by Unai Emery’s men.
Arsenal won the first leg of their UEFA Europa League encounter quarter-final against Napoli a few weeks back and later won in Naples and the fans will now be hoping that their team could do it again but this time getting a win over Valencia in Spain. The gunners are the ones with the two goal advantage but everyone understands how an away goal is very important and the Valencia side was able to get it.
Arsenal looked a bit defensive in their second leg against Napoli but they then later got an away goal and this demoralized the home side hence the gunners successfully winning the tie 3-0 on aggregate. Unai Emery was questioned after the match yesterday on if he will use the same approach that he used against Napoli because they will need to score in Spain to be safe since Valencia will be very strong at their home stadium with their supporters. The Arsenal boss said that they will of course go to Valencia hoping to get a win.
“Yes, we are going to prepare for the match thinking that this round is 50/50 for both. We need also to play there thinking to win, thinking to score, thinking to defend well and thinking also to take our moments in attack.” Unai Emery told Arsenal Player.
“We can control with the ball and possession, but we don’t know because they are going to feel strong with their supporters there.”
