Report: Wilfried Zaha’s supposed move to Arsenal faces new dilemma
Arsenal is interested in Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha and there has been a new report which claims that a move currently looks unlikely.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery wants to bring Wilfried Zaha to his squad and the gunners already had a £40million bid rejected by Crystal Palace who deemed the first offer from the gunners as embarrassing since they value him more than that.
Wilfried Zaha is one of the best wingers in the Premier League and the gunners lacked a clinical winger last season hence Arsenal trying to get the signature of the Ivorian international in this transfer window. The gunners were understood to be hoping to make a second bid which would include a player plus cash to get Wilfried Zaha who is currently at the African Cup Of Nations with Ivory Coast.
There has however been some new report by Sky Sports which now claims that some sources close to Wilfried Zaha feel that the North Londoners might not be able to afford the 26-year-old since their first bid was £40million short of what Crystal Palace wants in order to let go of their star man. It also claims that Crystal Palace will not be interested in a player plus cash offer. Wilfried Zaha is Crystal Palace’s main star and the club feels that it has every right to put any asking price for their star man since he is still has four more years on his current deal with the Eagles.
Wilfried Zaha’s brother has already confirmed that the Arsenal transfer target wants to come to the Emirates Stadium this summer because it has always been his dream to play for the North Londoners since he is a boyhood supporter. It looks like Arsenal’s interest in Zaha might end soon according to this report since it claims that Crystal Palace want £80million and the gunners won’t bid that much because they have a tight budget.
