Arsenal will today be welcomed at the Saint James’ Park by Newcastle United and their fans will be hoping that they get all the three points since all their rivals have won their matches. Arsenal boss Unai Emery will have a hard time selecting a starting eleven since some of his players are unavailable while others might not be fully fit to play a full game.

PREDICTED ARSENAL LINEUP TO FACE NEWCASTLE UNITED

Leno, Maitland-Niles, Luiz, Sokratis, Monreal, Xhaka, Willock, Mkhitaryan, Ceballos, Nelson, Aubameyang

FORMATION: 4-2-3-1

GOALKEEPING:

Bernd Leno is Arsenal’s first choice goalkeeper after the departure of Petr Cech and the gooners will be hoping that he keeps a clean sheet today.

DEFENCE:

David Luiz had his first full training session yesterday but he is however fit since he has played most of Chelsea’s pre-season matches so he could be paired with Sokratis today. Sead Kolasinac will not take part in this match since he won’t be traveling because of security reasons so Monreal and Maitland-Niles will start as full backs in a back four.

CENTRAL MIDFIELD:

Joe Willock has been outstanding in this year’s pre-season matches and Unai Emery has been praising him a lot so the youngster could start in a double pivot with Granit Xhaka as Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi just came back from their vacations.

ATTACKING MIDFIELD:

Arsenal sold Alex Iwobi to Everton so Reiss Nelson could be given a chance to start today and Unai Emery will be hopeful that he doesn’t disappoint him. Mkhitaryan will also be on the opposite flank while Dani Ceballos plays as a central attacking midfielder since Mesut Ozil did not play today because of security reasons. Nicolas Pepe will have to start on the bench.

STRIKING:

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will start as a lone striker since Alexandre Lacazette might not be ready to play a full game as he twisted his ankle in the pre-season game against Lyon a few weeks back.

I am a very stubborn person who is always very argumentative in football discussions but I always win. I like writing about transfer news most.
