RB Leipzig tell Arsenal their asking price for Dayot Upamecano
Dayot Upamecano has surprisingly become a transfer target of Arsenal and the gunners have reportedly been told what they have to pay to get him.
The gunners are reportedly interested in a move for RB Leipzig highly rated centre back Dayot Upamecano who has been outstanding in the last two years and Arsenal want to try to get him in this summer since they are short of top defenders since Koscielny is on his way out of the club.
Arsenal has made four signings in many areas in their squad but having to loan William Saliba back to his former club has put them in a tough position as they have average defenders who might not be able to help them get a top four finish despite their attack being full of talented players. Arsenal have now decided to go into the CB transfer market and reports in Germany are claiming that the gunners have identified RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano as the perfect centre back that can take them to the next level.
Dayot Upamecano, 20, is a talented centre back that suits Unai Emery’s playing style but a current report by The Guardian claims that RB Leipzig has told the North Londoners to pay atleast £70million in other to get the signature of Dayot Upamecano. It will be interesting to see what Arsenal offers since they just broke their record transfer record by spending £72million on Nicolas Pepe but the fans will surely want the club to sign a defender before the window closes this Thursday.
