Willock signs new long-term deal and Emery and Edu Gaspar make statements on this!
Arsenal’s Joe Willock has put pen to paper to a new four-year deal after his impressive start to the season and Emery & Edu have spoken about him renewing.

Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock has signed a new long-term deal after making a big step in the last 12 months to become a regular player in Unai Emery’s matchday squads. The young midfielder has so far made 20 appearances and he scored in the FA Cup and the UEFA Europa League last season.
Joe Willock has surprisingly improved in the last 12 months as he now seems like the most capable youngster of getting a regular starting spot under Unai Emery because the Spaniard has started him in Arsenal’s first three Premier League matches. Joe Willock has put pen to paper to a four-year deal and the fans will be delighted that the club is making sure to tie down their talented young players before some foreign clubs try to get them.
The 20-year-old was very impressive in the pre-season matches and this has seen him get more opportunities this season under Unai Emery as he was one of the main reasons why Arsenal decided to let go of Mohamed Elneny as he would have stopped the development of Joe Willock.

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has in the last few weeks been saying that they will give chances to the young players and he was also delighted that Joe Willock agreed the deal as per his statement.
“Joe has progressed a lot in the last year. He is technically strong and has shown the confidence to take responsibility and play his game whatever the occasion or opposition.” Unai Emery told Arsenal Media.
“I’m looking forward to working with to help him develop further and fulfil his potential.”
Arsenal appointed legend Edu Gaspar as their first technical director and he also gave his thoughts about Joe Willock signing a new deal.
“We’re delighted that Joe has committed his long-term future to us. The hard work of the academy coaches and staff, Joe, his family and everyone behind the scenes have been key to the development of his potential.” said Edu Gaspar.
CONGRATULATIONS TO JOE WILLOCK.
