Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang arrived at Arsenal in the 2018 January transfer window and he has in a short time become a fan favourite due to his goal scoring ability and personality. Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has now also spoken highly of the Gabon international who is very popular in his dressing room.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was selected as Arsenal’s vice captain by Unai Emery despite the striker having arrived at the club in 2018 but the Arsenal fans were happy with this because he has in the last 18 months shown that he is a great leader on the pitch. Arsenal head coach Unai Emery says that he was so happy with Aubameyang’s decision to give a penalty to Nicolas Pepe in their come back against Aston Villa a few weeks back.
Unai Emery has also confirmed that he is always talking to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang everywhere and also claims that what he likes most about the former Borussia Dortmund star always listens to everything that they tell him.
“I will speak with him in my office, the hotel or the dressing room. First we built a human connection and then as a player and then I know I can ask him what I want and what the team needs – he always listens and will always give his best to provide that.” Unai Emery told Arsenal’s official website.
“He will play all minutes, some minutes, all games if we ask that of him and he is always ready to play again – this is also showing his leadership qualities.”
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has this season been Arsenal’s best player because he has either scored or assisted in every Premier League match that he has played in so far and the fans & Unai Emery will be hoping that this continues today in their game against Bournemouth.
