Lacazette reveals why he believes that Guendouzi is a top midfielder
Matteo Guendouzi joined Arsenal last summer and his teammate Alexandre Lacazette says that the young Frenchman has some qualities which all top midfielders have.
Matteo Guendouzi joined Arsenal in the 2018 summer transfer window and he has surprised many as he is now one of Unai Emery’s most trusted members of his squad as he has started all their Premier League matches this season. Guendouzi’s teammate Lacazette has become the latest person to praise the 20-year-old.
Matteo Guendouzi was voted as Arsenal’s Player of the month for September for his performances in that month since he was very influential in their matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa. Guendouzi has in the last 12 months shown that he is a talented midfielder that can sometimes be great moving forward or in the build up play.
Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has said that Matteo Guendouzi deserved the award of being Fan’s player of the month because he was very impressive in the matches that he played in. Lacazette also claims that Matteo Guendouzi always wants the ball and that he is brave which is something that every top midfielder in the world has!
“I’m really happy for Matteo [for being named September Player of the Month], he played really well, he helped the team when we needed him, he is really improving each season so we are all really happy with his performances this month.” Lacazette told Arsenal’s official website.
“We can see that every top midfielder in the world is like this [in terms of demanding the ball and being brave]. They all want to take the ball.”
Matteo Guendouzi is one of the highly rated youngsters in the Premier League and the gooners will be hoping that he has a successful year as he did in his first season at the Emirates Stadium.
