Arsenal receive new scare in their Bukayo Saka contract situation

The gunners have for weeks been trying to tie Bukayo Saka down to a new contract but they are not yet successful and they will now receive a scare as a club is interested in the youngster.

Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka has been impressive this season as he has scored three goals as well as getting eight assists in all competitions and these impressive stats have seen a number of clubs get alerted as to how the 18-year-old will soon enter the final of his current contract at the Emirates Stadium. New reports are now claiming that Arsenal have received a new scare in the Saka contract situation as a club is now linked with the player.

Bukayo Saka broke onto the scene in the UEFA Europa League game against Eintracht Frankfurt after he scored a stunning goal in that game and started to get more chances in the Premier League but he however then got left out a bit in the last weeks of Unai Emery’s era. Mikel Arteta has however used him differently in the left back position and he has been wonderful to watch as he has become one of the most important players at the club.

Bukayo Saka will in June enter the final year of his current deal at Arsenal and it’s now being reported by The Mirror that the 18-year-old is being pursued by Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund who have for a long time always given chances to young players that have high potential. This definitely comes as a scare for the gunners because Saka is yet to agree to a new deal with Arsenal and the club would consider selling him in the summer if he doesn’t put pen to paper to a new deal as losing him for free in 2021 would be unacceptable.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has clearly been impressed by Saka and has many times said that he has talked to the team responsible to give the youngster a new deal. The gunners will be hoping that they don’t have to regret like Manchester City who easily let go of Sancho and then see the  young Englishman now get valued at more than €100million.
