Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have been best friends ever since the Gabon international arrived at the Emirates Stadium in 2018 and they’ve also been wonderful on the pitch together as they were Arsenal’s best two players last season. Aubameyang and Lacazette have revealed the most skillful player in the squad.
Arsenal recently released a YouTube video of a new segment called the Strikers Union where gunners legend Ian Wright asked Aubameyang and Lacazette about the most skillful player in the squad and they both said that it was none other than Nicolas Pepe who arrived from Lille in the summer transfer window. “Nico” said Aubameyang when he heard that the question and Lacazette continued saying that:
“Nico, there are some days… like in Dubai a few days ago, he took the ball and tap, tap, tap, nuts [nutmegs], come back one player went like”
Arsenal completed the signing of Nicolas Pepe from Lille on a record fee of £72million and even though he hasn’t got many goals for the gunners this season, there’s no denying that he has got the skills as he has been one of the best dribblers in the Premier League this season. Arsenal fans will be hoping that Aubameyang, Lacazette and Pepe can form a great partnership together when the Premier League resumes.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright also said that the most skillful player of his era was Dennis Bergkamp since he was an incredible midfielder that was one of the best players in the greatest sides of the North Londoners.
