Mesut Ozil has been at Arsenal since 2013 and he has had a decent career there as he has helped them win three FA Cups but his performances have dropped and is now in his 30’s hence many calling for him to be sold. Mesut Ozil’s agent Erkut Sogut has spoken out about the future of his client.

Mesut Ozil has been poor in the last two years and his clashes with Unai Emery didn’t help as the Spanish coach made him miss many matches but Mikel Arteta has been clear in saying that the German international is an important player in his system, and the 31-year-old has returned the favour with scoring once and making an assist in these first few matches under his former teammate.

Mesut Ozil’s current contract at Arsenal will see him leave in 2021 and there have been reports that the gunners could sell him in the next transfer window since his wages are hurting the club’s finances but his agent Erkut Sogut has claimed that the German international won’t be leaving the Emirates Stadium any time soon as he will be respecting his contract.

“I have said it before and I am saying it again that he [Ozil] is really happy where he is at Arsenal. He is still has a contract to go and there is no change.” Erkut Sogut ( Ozil’s agent ) told Goal.com.

“We will see what the future holds when the contract ends but for now, there is nothing I can say.”

Mesut Ozil has heavily been linked with a move to Turkey in the last few transfer windows   but he has each and every time said that he won’t be leaving Arsenal as he will be respecting his contract and the chances of this happening have increased as Mikel Arteta has made him an important member of his squad.

I enjoy football so much and I am in love with Arsenal Football Club. I always watch the matches and will always give you my opinions about the game here.
