Report: Two reasons why Hector Bellerin will not leave Arsenal in the summer
Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has been heavily linked a move away from the Emirates in the last few days but here are two reasons why he might not leave.
Arsenal signed Hector Bellerin from Barcelona in 2011 and he has in the last five years cemented his place as the clubs first choice right back but he is however being questioned by the fans and the football pundits as its discussed whether the North Londoners would be better off with getting a better player.
There was a report recently published by Marca claiming that Laliga sides, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid were hopeful of tempting Hector Bellerin to return to Spain in the upcoming summer transfer window. There were also reports a few days back linking him with a move to Inter Milan but we however take a look at why Hector Bellerin will definitely not be leaving Arsenal in the next transfer window.
1. HECTOR BELLERIN COULD SOON BE NAMED AS ARSENAL’S CAPTAIN
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is Arsenal’s current captain and second in line is Hector Bellerin who has been at the Emirates Stadium since 2011 and since there is a lot of uncertainty on the future of their current striker, then the Spanish right back will be hopeful of being given the captain’s armband as he has always been a great ambassador of the club and a good portion of the fanbase loves him.
So it would definitely be a bad idea to leave a club that you’ve been with for nine years when it’s about to make you the captain of the team and he did say in the past that he is happy to be one of the captains at Arsenal.
2. BELLERIN MIGHT NOT JOIN A SPANISH TEAM NOT NAMED BARCELONA
Hector Bellerin played for Barcelona’s academy team and since the Catalan club is not among the Spanish clubs that are currently pursuing him now then he might not listen to their offers due to his ties with Barça. Bellerin even refused to move to Barcelona in the time he was on form due to the love he had for Arsenal and so he won’t be throwing away that.
Even though Hector Bellerin has been poor this season but it is however worth noting that he was on the sidelines for almost a full year and will definitely be able to impress his current boss Mikel Arteta and get back into the starting eleven.
