Three Arsenal youngsters that Arteta will likely loan off in the summer
Arsenal will be looking to revamp their squad in the summer transfer window and we take a look at youngsters that Arteta will send on loan.
Arsenal appointed Mikel Arteta as their new head coach in December and if all we’ve heard about him is true then we will be seeing some of his ruthlessness in the upcoming summer transfer window as this will be the transfer window that he uses to shape his team.
Arsenal have this season given minutes to a lot of youngsters and most of them have impressed while others haven’t been at the same level as others hence some football pundits arguing whether the gunners should have rather kept the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mohamed Elneny. We take a look at three Arsenal youngsters that Mikel Arteta’s is likely to loan when the summer transfer window opens.
1. JOE WILLOCK
Joe Willock made his Arsenal debut in 2017 and he has played his most competitive football in this 2019/20 season since the club released a spot for him in the squad by loaning Mohamed Elneny to Beşiktaş and the 20-year-old hasn’t been that bad as he has scored two goals. Willock has however stopped developing as the club has been in absolute chaos in the last months of Unai Emery and Arteta clearly doesn’t fancy him that much.
Joe Willock is surprisingly yet to play for a team not named Arsenal in his career and so he definitely is going to be loaned in the next transfer window.
2. REISS NELSON
Reiss Nelson was Arsenal’s best youngster out on loan in the 2018/19 campaign and the fans were excited to see what he would do for them this season but he has however been underwhelming and has been hampered with injuries. The rise of Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka have also seen him go down the pecking order and since Emile Smith Rowe is currently impressing at Huddersfield Town then he could be the one to be loaned out.
The 20-year-old will probably once again be loaned to the German Bundesliga since he was impressive there and everyone at Arsenal would hope that he develops well in that league like Borussia Dortmund’s Sancho.
3. DINOS MAVROPANOS
Dinos Mavropanos was supposed to be the next thing but he has however struggled and his best performance in an Arsenal shirt is still his debut against Manchester United in 2018. Mavropanos was loaned to FC Nürnberg in the 2020 January transfer window and even though he is currently impressing there, the gunners could resend him back as they’ll certainly be looking to sign another centre back as per reports and also be welcoming William Saliba.
