How Arteta’s decision on Saka will affect the future of some Arsenal player
Bukayo Saka has been impressive for Arsenal this season and there is a big decision that Arteta might have to make that could affect the future of the youngster and one other player.
Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka has been impressive this season as most fans and maybe the coaches didn’t know how we would be such an important member of the squad. The 18-year-old has been mostly playing as a left back in Mikel Arteta’s system and he has been impressive as he has assisted many times.
Bukayo Saka made his first team debut last season but he however received more minutes in this campaign as he scored in an impressive 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt and he got some other appearances from that moment under Unai Emery but he however became a different player while playing under Arteta as he became an interesting attacking fullback even though his right position is on the left wing, the 18-year-old was covering for Kolasinac and Tierney who were on the sidelines. Saka’s impressive performances at left back have seen most Arsenal fans start urging Mikel Arteta to turn the young Englishman man into a fullback since players have always changed their positions and with most of those decisions turning out to be fine.
Arsenal’s head coach Mikel Arteta will have to make a decision on whether he will be turning Saka into a fullback as even though the player himself might feel he is still better suited for left wing, the coach could however be able to persuade him to continue perfecting his game on left back since it looks like this position seems to be the better approach for him to continually get minutes and continue excelling in the new system of the North Londoners.
Sead Kolasinac has been at Arsenal for a while but he has however shown in his time at the club that he will never be comfortable at defending and aside from his impressive speed, his crossing is sub-par and so he is likely to be the player that gets affected if Mikel Arteta decides to turn Bukayo Saka into a left back.
Kieran Tierney joined Arsenal in the summer and so the club will definitely be hoping to see if he performs well next season since he hasn’t been able to do so this season due to an injury. So Sead Kolasinac will be the asset that will have to be sold with Saka becoming the new left back taking his place.
