Lacazette opens up about reports of talking to Griezmann about moving to Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid have for a while been linked with a move for Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette and there was even a report on Monday on how he was close to joining the Spanish side in the January transfer window. Lacazette came close to joining Atletico Madrid in the past and has since then continued to being linked with a move to the Madrid club.

Lacazette has spent three years at Arsenal now but he has however started losing the favour of the fans due to his current performances and a report from Spain on Monday claimed that he was close to moving to Atletico Madrid in this year’s winter transfer window and that he even talked to his friend Antoine Griezmann to ask him about the club.

Alexandre Lacazette’s agent has however crushed this report via Twitter and the player himself added on what the agency representing him had said.

“Twitter is magic!! It’s not nice to lie to fans of Atletico Madrid” said Lacazette’s representatives in a tweet and he also replied saying.

“Not beautiful at all!!”

News saying that Lacazette might leave Arsenal this summer have increased which raises the speculation as to whether he will still be a gunner when next season begins but as of now, he is still contracted to the North Londoners until 2022. Even though he has had a poor season, Lacazette was starting to go on form before the Premier League got suspended and he will definitely be hoping that football returns so that he could prove to Arsenal’s new boss Mikel Arteta that he is good enough to lead the line.
