Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will in a few months enter the final year of his current deal at the Emirates Stadium and there is yet to be communication from either him or the club on whether they will be signing a new deal hence the Gabon international getting linked with various clubs.

Aubameyang has been one of the most consistent strikers in the world in the last five years and so it’s no surprise that he is being chased by a number of top clubs and in today’s piece, we take a look at two clubs that have high chances of signing the Gabon international in the 2020 summer transfer window.

1. BARCELONA

Barcelona is one of the biggest clubs in the world and due to its huge revenue, they always manage to sign all their transfer targets since they can not only afford Aubameyang but would also give him a chance of playing in the UEFA Champions League as well as challenging for all major trophies.

A report by Spanish newspaper AS claims that Arsenal captain Aubameyang wants to join Barcelona in the summer transfer window and that the Catalan club believe that he would be a good cheap addition to their side since they don’t also know if Luis Suarez will be as impressive as he was after recovering from the knee injury.

2. REAL MADRID

Real Madrid have been the best club in the world in the last five years but they have however this season struggled in the league and Europe due to lack of goals since Benzema is now old and their last year’s star striker signing Luka Jovic has failed to impress in the Spanish LA Liga as he has only scored two goals this season.

Spanish outlet Sport say that Real Madrid will be looking to sign Aubameyang in the summer and the gunners would definitely have a hard time of convincing him out of going there as he did say in the past that he would one day like to play for the Madrid side before he retires as it was a wish from his father.

Arsenal will obviously want Aubameyang to sign a new deal but they will however not allow him to leave for free as they did in the past with their other players and so the Gabon international is likely to leave for either Barcelona or Real Madrid in the summer.
