Report: Two Arsenal transfer targets that Arteta would take to the next level
Arsenal have been linked with many players in the last few months and here are two players that Arteta would take to the next level if signed.
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta will try to improve his squad in the summer transfer window since he will fully start getting judged next season since he arrived at the club in the midst of a season. It’s understandable that clubs will not make many signings in the upcoming summer transfer window but a lot can change if suppose the North Londoners get UCL or Europa League football.
Arsenal boss Arteta will need to be careful in the transfer window since funds will be limited and the club having not have UEFA Champions League football for long will mean that they need to invest correctly to go back into the top European competition. Here are players that Arsenal have been linked with and those who Arteta could take to the next level.
1. THOMAS PARTEY
Thomas Partey has been the most linked player with a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window and it looks like the North Londoners’ interest is very genuine since even his father confirmed that his son would be coming to the Emirates Stadium when they reach an agreement with Atletico Madrid.
Partey plays in a very defensive set up of Atletico Madrid but Mikel Arteta has already shown that he wants to bring possession football back to Arsenal and a player like Thomas is midfielder that could be used as shield in the 4-3-3 formation that the 38 year old coach wants at the Emirates Stadium. Partey could finally be set free from Atletico Madrid as he is a versatile player that Arteta could use both as a defensive midfielder or as a box to box midfielder.
2. ADIL AOUCHICHE
Adil Aouchiche is a highly rated attacking midfielder that has caught the eyes of the of the scouts of most top European clubs after he impressed in the youth competitions. Adil Aouchiche is yet to sign a professional contract with Paris Saint Germain and many reports claim that he wants to leave the French Ligue one champions and Arsenal is interested.
Arsenal have been known for being one of the very few top European clubs that always give chances to youngsters and Arteta has also shown that he will keep this tradition alive as Eddie Nketiah, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have all scored or assisted in the Premier League in the very first three months under him. Ozil is very old now and so a young attacking midfielder like Aouchiche could get chances as Guendouzi and Martinelli did.
