Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will at the end of this month have entered the final year of his current deal at the Emirates Stadium and there have been massive reports that the gunners will be forced to sell him in the summer due to failing to reach an agreement over a new deal.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined Arsenal in 2018 and he has been a pretty good signing as he has scored over 60 goals in just 97 appearances but the gunners as a team have however failed to compete well in most competitions as they find themselves in the ninth position on the Premier League table. There have been many reports on Aubameyang’s contract situation at the club and highly rated Telegraph journalist Fabrizio Romano has shed light at the current situation of the Gabon international.

Aubameyang’s current contract at Arsenal will expire in 2021 and Fabrizio Romano has revealed some disappointing news to the gooners claiming that the club have offered the 30 year old a new deal since December but he keeps refusing. He however mentions that Aubameyang will now have to choose whether to stay and extend or leave the North London club.

“Arsenal are offering a new contract to Auba since December, the problem is what he will decide… he always refused during last months so we’ll see if he’ll decide to leave or extend his contract.” said Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.

Arsenal fans will be hoping that Mikel Arteta manages to convince their captain Aubameyang to stay since he has already shown that he can change someone’s mind like how he changed Granit Xhaka’s decision to leave when he had already had leaving on his mind after falling out with the Arsenal supporters.
