Arsenal completed the signing of Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia on a fee believed to be around £35million and he has turned out to be a disaster signing as he has been poor at the Emirates Stadium apart from his first few months at the club. Most Arsenal fans want Mustafi to leave the club and it seems like he could be doing so as he has hint at a possible departure from the Emirates Stadium.

Shkodran Mustafi has been at Arsenal for four years now and the fans have sometimes accused him of being one of the players that are the reason the gunners have not played in the UEFA Champions League for some good years now, the German defender is usually blamed for the huge mistake that he did in the game against Crystal Palace last season which is a game that started their downfall hence not getting a UCL spot after a season which seemed to be on a good track.

Mustafi has always been linked with a move away from Arsenal in recent transfer windows but he has always stayed but he has this time spoken about his future hinting at a departure, saying that a move to Bundesliga would be interesting and mentions how Germany is his home.

“In the current situation, it is difficult to predict how the transfer phase will go. This is always interesting (moving to Bundesliga) – In terms of the sport, it has made great progress. It’s also my home.” Mustafi told Sport Bild.

Despite all the struggles of Mustafi in recent years, the 28 year old has been impressive under Mikel Arteta’s first three months at the club and it is still unknown whether the new Arsenal boss will try to convince the German to stay despite most gooners wanting him gone.

I am a very stubborn person who is always very argumentative in football discussions but I always win. I like writing about transfer news most.
