Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta got appointed as the new boss at the end of 2019 and his reign so far hasn’t been stable due to constant injuries to key players but the gooners will be hoping that it’s different next season. Arsenal centre back Calum Chambers got injured a few months back but it looks he has got close to returning.

Calum Chambers returned to Arsenal last year in the summer after a full season out on loan at Fulham and he was very influential in the few matches he played as he was one of the best players during Unai Emery’s last days and also seemed to be trusted by Arteta as the new Spanish boss used him in his first game only for him to get a big injury in the 2-1 loss to Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal will want all their players to be fit by the time that the 2020/21 season kicks off and it looks like Mikel Arteta has received an injury boost as Calum Chambers is now routinely running alone on the training ground and also using the gym which is a big improvement since it is just months back that he had to undergo a surgery. Arsenal’s boss Arteta will be hopeful that Chambers will be fully fit by the time next season begins since he won’t be able to play in this year’s campaign since he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee.

Arsenal have been linked with many centre backs in the last few months but it will be interesting to see if Mikel Arteta tells the club to focus on other areas if Calum Chambers is fully fit by the time the new season begins.
