Mikel Arteta sends a clear and strong message to Arsenal board after beating Liverpool
The Premier League summer transfer window is around the corner and Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has sent a strong message to the gunners hierarchy after beating Liverpool.
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has got the gunners their first win over Liverpool since 2015 after his side put on a great fight against The Champions to keep their hopes of qualifying for Europe alive. The Premier League summer transfer window is around the corner and Arsenal will be expected to try to bring in new players since they’ve been so poor in this 2019/20 campaign.
Arsenal’s current head coach Mikel Arteta was appointed in December and he has only been able to have the January transfer window to try to shape his squad and everyone including those on the outside can see that the gunners will need a lot of investment in this upcoming summer transfer window if they are to be able to go back into the Premier League top four next season.
Mikel Arteta who has shown to be very determined to take Arsenal back to the top has sent a very clear and strong message to the Arsenal hierarchy urging them to invest in the squad since it is impossible to compete with a weak squad. The Arsenal head coach said this after their 2-1 win over Liverpool.
Reporter: “Do you think you’ll have the finances you’ll need?”
Arteta: “I don’t know.”
Reporter: “Is that not a concern?”
Arteta: “Big concern, Because you know, you just have to see how they build those squads and there’s no magic. You need to improve with quality quality players and you need biggest squads to compete in this competition (Premier League). said the Arsenal boss telling Sky Sports.
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has been very honest and clear with the supporters about the club’s situation ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window and the pressure is now on the board to give him support he needs as he has in the above comments sent them a message on what needs to be done for them to once again become challengers. Will they indeed give him support? We’ll just have to wait and see.
