Arsenal appointed Mikel Arteta as their new head coach at the end of last year after the departure of Unai Emery and the failed experiment of Freddie Ljungberg and the Spaniard has turned out to have been the right candidate for the job. Arsenal will face Liverpool on Monday and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has heaped a lot of praise on Mikel Arteta.

Mikel Arteta arrived at Arsenal when there were a big mess as it had been a month since Unai Emery got fired and Freddie Ljungberg had failed to stablise the club hence the club quickly announcing the arrival of the 38 year old coach and he has nine months later won two trophies already and is implementing an incredible system at the club that all the players seem to love.

Arsenal defeated Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium last season and also recently beat them to win the FA Community Shield and Jurgen Klopp has been left impressed with the improvements that Arteta has done at the Emirates and has praised him ahead of their encounter on Monday.

“Arteta has showed in a short period of time that he seems to be an exceptional football manager. The structure of the team he sets up is exceptional. The balance between offence and defence is really good. He has changed the whole mood at Arsenal.” said Klopp as per The Mirror.

“Arsenal defend properly. All the players are involved in defending. They defend in a 5-4-1 and when you have quality players that makes it tricky for the opposition, especially when they have speed in the counter-attack. I can say a lot of positive things about Arsenal because they are true, but I still think we have a chance on Monday night.”

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will want to get another win over Klopp’s Liverpool this Monday as it will be important for the gunners to finally break the record of them failing to win away to a big six side since 2015.
