Report: Mikel Arteta receives big injury boost ahead of start of the Premier League
The Premier League will start this weekend and Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has received a big injury boost ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

The Premier League is finally returning on Saturday and all clubs including Arsenal have started preparing for it as this looks like its going to be one of the most interesting campaigns since players were given just a two week break before getting recalled. All managers including Mikel Arteta will want their players to be available and it now looks like the Spaniard has received an injury boost.
Arsenal centre back Calum Chambers has been on the sidelines since December, 2019 after he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the 2-1 loss to Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium. The English centre back missed the reminder of the 2019/20 campaign as the injury he sustained was very serious but the time in the lockdown which saw most competitions get paused have given him some time to get better without missing too much action, be it club or international football.
The new Premier League season is just four days away and Mikel Arteta will want all his players to be available when it does and the Spanish manager has received a major injury boost after latest pictures from the training session done today shows that Calum Chambers was also among those that were at London Colney preparing for the start of the 2020/21 campaign.

Calum Chambers was considered to be Arsenal’s best centre back before he got injured and so it will be interesting to see if he will be getting many minutes this season even with the arrival of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes. Arsenal will probably release their latest team news tomorrow and the gooners will be hoping that the club confirms that Calum Chambers will be available for selection in the first weeks of the season.
Chambers early return could also help Arsenal to plan better for their outgoings since it’s believed that they will want to cut on their number of centre backs and so the Englishman being fit this month would allow the club to go ahead with selling their unwanted defenders.
