Arsenal starting eleven to face Liverpool released as Arteta makes some changes
Arsenal have today been welcomed at the Anfield Stadium by Liverpool and they have released their lineup with Arteta making some changes.
Arsenal have today made another trip to Anfield Stadium to face Liverpool in the same week but it will this time be in the Carabao Cup fourth round and the North London club has released the team that will play in this game. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made some changes to the squad that lost on Monday as expected.
ARSENAL STARTING ELEVEN TO FACE LIVERPOOL TODAY
Leno, Cedric, Holding, Gabriel, Kolasinac; Ceballos, Willock, Xhaka; Pepe, Nketiah, Saka
SUBSTITUTES:
Runarsson, Luiz, Tierney, Elneny, Maitland-Niles, Nelson, Lacazette
The gunners come into this match well knowing how it will be hard to get a win over Liverpool even though they have used a rotated squad as witnessed last season in the Carabao Cup when these two sides put up a thrilling 5-5 game but The Reds still came out on top as they progressed to the next round after winning on penalties. Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is still frozen from the squad as he has today yet again not been included in the squad that plays in this game which can arguably be regarded as not that important to some.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will want his team to show that they learned from their Premier League defeat to Liverpool a few days ago by winning today as he has also said that he loves the hunger for wins and trophies in his squad and so the North Londoners will want to go all the way to win this competition.
