Arsenal seem to be busy in this year’s January transfer window as they have already loaned both Sead Kolasinac and William Saliba and it looks like that can’t be the end of their activity this month as its now been revealed that the gunners will either sell or loan two additional players in Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta recently said that one of their main priorities in the transfer window will be to try to reduce on their bloated squad since its so big that they even had to leave out some senior players in their Premier League and UEFA Europa League squads and its been widely reported that they will try to let go of players this month.

Famous football transfer news journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the gunners will try to sell or loan Mesut Ozil and Sokratis Papastathopoulos this month, and that they then will try to work out on incomings with Emi Buendia being one of the players that they will pursue this month. These being the two players being pushed out doesn’t come as a surprise as Sokratis and Ozil were not in the Premier League and UEFA Europa League registered squads.

Mesut Ozil did not play for Arsenal after the first lockdown and he has since then not been given any chance on the pitch, and Mikel Arteta surprised the fanbase and everyone when he didn’t include him in the registered squads for the league and European games when most assumed he would be given another chance to play in his final. It will be interesting to see if he does leave Arsenal before July as he has repeatedly said that he would respect his contract.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos was also not in the registered squads as the gunners already had a lot of centered backs and so it is indeed likely that he will want to go to a club where he will consistently play.

I just love writing and football so much ever since the 2000's when football got popular in our country. I am a self esteemed person who believes is am always right.
