Martin Odegaard hints at staying at Arsenal beyond the agreed six month loan
On loan Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard has hint at staying at Arsenal in an interview he made after having his first start for the North Londoners.

Arsenal completed the signing of Martin Odegaard in the January transfer window on a six month loan deal and he was given his first start on Sunday when the gunners hosted Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium. The Arsenal fans want to permanently sign Odegaard and the Norwegian international has hint at staying.
Martin Odegaard is an outstanding midfielder and he was on Sunday given a start as a no. 10 for Arsenal and he had a good performance as he seemed to combine well with the other young forwards already at the club as they destroyed Leeds United and this has made some fans start calling on to the club to permanently sign him.
Real Madrid did not allow Arsenal to include an option to buy Martin Odegaard in the loan deal but the gunners could still be able to start negotiations with the Madrid club in the summer after it expires. Odegaard has also hint at staying at Arsenal by not outright confirming that he believes he will be at Real Madrid next season when asked about his future.
“You never know what is going to happen, but for now I am just focusing on doing my best this season and helping the team as much as possible.” Martin Odegaard told TV2.
Martin Odegaard was loaned to Real Sociedad last season and he was supposed to be there for two years but Real Madrid cut it short to bring him back for this season but he was however not given many chances as he thought he would hence him coming to North London. The gunners will of course be hopeful that giving him minutes would be able to convince him to permanently signing for Arsenal.
