Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has turned out to be very ruthless as the club embarked on a clear out campaign in the January transfer window to remove the players that were deadwood. It however looks like Arsenal could reportedly let go of two youngsters in the summer transfer window to get funds to bring in their targets.
A report by The Mirror claims that Arsenal will be ready to listen to offers for Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Eddie Nketiah who fought their way from the academy until they were considered as first team players of the North London club. The report also claims that Ainsley Maitland-Niles had attracted interest from many clubs despite the possibility of the club he was loaned to getting relegated.
The above report also reveals that Eddie Nketiah’s future is in the balance as the club could soon possibly renew the contract of Alexandre Lacazette to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium and the gunners working hard to get Balogun to a new deal shows how he might be sold this summer.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Eddie Nketiah were very impressive in Mikel Arteta’s first season at the club and so it’s surprising that these two could be sold in the upcoming summer transfer window.
