Arsenal told how much key transfer target will cost them
Arsenal transfer target Houssem Aouar’s new price tag has been revealed.
Arsenal came close to signing Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar last summer but came up short when Lyon asked for a fee close to €60m.
Aouar is still on Arsenal’s radar given that they need to sign a creative midfielder to replace Mesut Ozil and support Emile Smith-Rowe.
And now according to French publication L’Equipe Aouar will be allowed to leave Olympique Lyon this summer for around €30M (£27m). As a result of their failure to qualify for the Champions League means they will have to cut losses.
This should be music to Arsenal’s ears as they could land the talented Frenchman for as low as €30m, down from the €60m Lyon had asked for last summer.
The 22 year-old midfielder scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists in 30 appearances for the Ligue 1 side and came close to joining the Gunners last year.
