Mikel Arteta speaks out on Arsenal’s plans for the summer transfer window
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on the club’s summer transfer window plans ahead of the new campaign that will start in a few months from now.
Arsenal will be one of the most active clubs in the summer transfer window as they will look to improve their side after having had an awful season that saw them get knocked out of all cup competitions and find themselves way below the Premier League top six sides. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has provided an update on their plans for the summer transfer window.
The gunners will this season not finish in the Premier League top six and this will mean they will have no European football and so this will likely see them revamp their squad as they will want to reduce on their squad and wage bill as they won’t be performing in another extra competition. Arsenal saw their hopes of playing in the UEFA Champions League next season get crushed a few days after Villarreal knocked them out of the UEFA Europa League in the semi finals and Mikel Arteta has commented on their transfer plans since they will not have enough funds.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta recently faced the media and was asked if he believes that there will be a lot of players leave in the summer transfer window, and when he would start planning for the new upcoming campaign.
“There are so many things to do because we already have a lot of players on loan and a lot of players with contracts still that we need to sort.” Mikel Arteta told Arsenal Player.
“It will depend what happens with a lot of those players and what we are able to recruit to improve the team, that is going to determine where we are.”
