Arsenal has been one of the busiest clubs in this summer transfer window as its believed that they will have a lot of departures and will also try to bring in some replacements before the window closes. Arsenal are interested in signing Sassuolo central midfielder Manuel Locatelli and its reported that they have received a boost in their pursuit of the Italian midfielder.

It is highly believed that Granit Xhaka will leave Arsenal for AS Roma in this summer transfer window and the gunners will definitely need to replace him since his among the core of players that never miss out on Mikel Arteta’s starting eleven. Arsenal have identified Sassuolo star Manuel Locatelli as the perfect replacement for Xhaka but they however face stiff competition from Juventus who are also interested in signing him.

Juventus has an advantage of them being the first choice of Manuel Locatelli but Arsenal have received a boost in their pursuit of the central midfielder as transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Italian side recently met with Sassuolo offering an offer of a loan deal with an obligation of €30million but this was immediately rejected. This is a big boost for Arsenal as its claimed that they don’t have any problem with offering the €40million wanted by Sassuolo for Locatelli and so they could now only need to convince the player to come to the Emirates Stadium if Juventus doesn’t come back to the picture.

Manuel Locatelli is an outstanding central midfielder and he showed his quality in the recently concluded Euros tournament while playing for Italy and the gunners will remain hopeful that he will finally choose them before the end of the summer transfer window.
