Arsenal receive bad news in their pursuit of Houssem Aouar
Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Houssem Aouar for years now but it’s however now reported that they have received bad news in their pursuit of the Frenchman.

We are getting closer to the start of the new campaign and Arsenal are yet to sign a central attacking midfielder even though it’s one of their main priorities of this summer transfer window. The gunners have been linked with many central attacking players including Houssem Aouar and its now revealed that they might have received bad news in their pursuit of the Frenchman.
Houssem Aouar is one of the highly rated attacking midfielders in the French Ligue one and his value has sort of reduced in this transfer window since his performance last season wasn’t at its usual best. It is believed that Lyon will try to cash in on Houssem Aouar this summer since his current contract there will soon expire and they will not want to risk losing him for free in the future.
Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Aouar for years now but they might have however received bad news in their pursuit of the 23 year old as The ESPN claims that Tottenham Hotspur have also entered the race for the signature of the Frenchman and that they hope to do a swap deal with Lyon that would see Ndombele return to the French Ligue one. The proposal of Tottenham Hotspur is very enticing and so Arsenal will be worried that Lyon might accept it.
The report claims that Tottenham Hotspur have already contacted Lyon over the possible swap deal and that Arsenal are indeed interested in also signing Houssem Aouar but that they will have to first offload their current deadwood to stand a chance of signing the Frenchman. The 23 year old is currently valued at €25million and this could possibly be seen as a bargain by most big clubs since he was likely to cost double that last summer.
