Arsenal are interested in Ben White and its believed that the deal might be more advanced than most believe as some reports have claimed that the gunners have already agreed personal terms with the Englishman. The 23 year old centre back was impressive last season and here’s how the North Londoners are likely to use Ben White in their defence next season.

FORMATION: BACK FOUR

Arsenal struggled in defence last season as their failure to be solid at the back saw them lose or draw matches when they were comfortably in winning positions and so the acquisition of Ben White could bring agility at the back since Gabriel did have a little bit of impact last season but it was however not enough since his partner kept changing.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta decided to use the 4-2-3-1 formation throughout the second half of the season and so having two solid centre backs in Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White is important if you are to compete with the big boys of the Premier League. It has been always claimed that Arteta wants a left and right footed centre backs in his back line.

FORMATION: BACK THREE

TEXT FORM: Leno, Gabriel, White, Holding

Arsenal used a back three until December last year and Mikel Arteta could surprise everyone by going back to it as it did help him win the Emirates FA Cup in his first season at the Emirates Stadium. A back three of Gabriel, White and Holding is well balanced.
