Report: Arsenal make a formal bid for Houssem Aouar
Arsenal are back in for the Lyon midfielder.
Arsenal have revived interest in long term transfer target Houssem Aouar by making an official offer to Lyon, according to the latest reports.
Multiple bids were turned down by the French club last summer as they demanded a fee close to €60m for the French midfielder.
French publication le10Sport report that Arsenal have made a formal bid to Lyon for the 23-year-old midfielder and talks between the two clubs are progressing.
The figure Arsenal offered Lyon is yet to be disclosed but Aouar’s price tag has significantly dropped compared to last summer.
Lyon’s asking price for Aouar is now reported to be between €20-25m which would be a big bargain for the talented midfielder.
Arsenal continue to search for creative midfielder and Aouar has been on their radar for over a year. However, the Gunners are not the only one’s interested in Aouar.
PSG and Atletico Madrid are also interested in Aouar who scored 8 times and provided 4 assist for the Ligue 1 side.
