Arsenal completed the signing of Martin Odegaard in the January transfer window on a loan deal that would see him stay in North London for just six months and the gunners were hoping that he would return until it became clear that he wouldn’t leave Real Madrid this summer. There has however a new report which has claimed that Arsenal’s hopes of signing Odegaard are not yet over as the gunners have a plan ahead of August.

Martin Odegaard was impressive for Arsenal in the six months that he spent in England and the fans have urged the club to try to bring him back as he showed immense quality that reminded them of the early days of Mesut Ozil. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has returned to the standard formation of 4-2-3-1 that uses a central attacking midfielder (No. 10) and so getting Odegaard back would be fantastic.

The Athletic has claimed that Mikel Arteta is a very big fan of Martin Odegaard and that although they don’t have the power to outright sign him right now, they are however ready to snatch him away from Real Madrid if he doesn’t get enough chances in Carlo’s team in the first matches of the season in August. The gunners will reportedly wait and see if Real Madrid will once again be put on the transfer market.

Odegaard left Real Madrid in January due to not getting enough minutes on the pitch and he was one of the main starters of Arsenal after getting loaned there, and so the North Londoners will hope that he decides to move away in August if Carlo Ancelotti shows that he will not be among the first starting eleven.
